Since I started the Engagement Group in this Forum, I thought I should go ahead and open up a discussion thread regarding the Peterson Engagement Model.
Any thoughts regarding this approach to measuring engagement of visitors to a web site?
Our publication has transitioned from print to the web. They measure user engagement by Page Views per Visit. The web site framework is slowly adopting the "web 2.0" framework and it's becoming clear that the business needs to rethink the user engagement. I don't have an answer to that (I wish I did), but time on site, returning visit, registered comments are things in my list. WOM will organically grow (hopefully!). The formula is impressive, but truthfully I haven't put it to test it yet. Any other thoughts?
