I'm an information architect with extensive experience designing and testing web-based applications for a variety of industries. Currently I have a really long title "Director of User Experience & Information Architecture"...but essentially I'm an integrator. I strive to understand the business and user needs and integrate the right talent and solutions to solve problems. I work with a team of designers and developers as well as outside vendors and consultants with the goal of continuously improving the user experience for nww.com, demo.com, cxo and javaworld.com.
I'm quick to hear, slow to speak, which makes me a good candidate to observe people (A.K.A. users) in their own environment, and also in our business environment (A.K.A. web site).
People say I have an easygoing personality and good sense of humor which I’ll take advantage of to establish good working relationships with everyone on the team.
I am a member of The Institute for Information Architecture, Usability Professionals' Association, Boston CHI, IxDA, W3C Semantic Web Group, and of course the Massachusetts Innovation and Technology Exchange (MITX).
Designing for people is the cornerstone to my thinking and approach. It's not a job to me. It's my passion. If the above doesn't make it for a great "user's advocate", I don't know what it does.
Great MITX event at Digitas, featuring Amy Cueva from MadPow, Margot Bloomstein from iSite, Dustin DiTommaso, and Ashley Annis from Bridgeline. Great job UXers!!!
