Massachusetts privacy regulations - Delayed until January 1, 2010; should it be tabled permanently?

[Posted on behalf of Michael K. Barron]

Hi Everyone,

I thought you may find the following article published by my law firm, DLA Piper, on the new Massachusetts privacy regulations to be of interest.

Let me know what you think of these regulations. It is interesting that the state has decided to delay the implementation of the privacy regulations until January 1, 2010. In light of the current economic conditions, do you think the implementation of the regulations should be further delayed or not implemented at all?

Best, Michael Barron
